ElectroFence® Plus 11/48/12 Starter Kit
This complete fence system can be used to keep in sheep, goats and cattle while keeping out coyotes and foxes. Also used to keep bear away from beehives. 48" tall.
Choose this starter kit if you plan to move the fence daily or weekly.
Identical to ElectroFence® except line posts are every 6'8" instead of 12.5'. Much less prone to sag; more resistance to wind, ice. However, extra posts make the netting heavier—so we shortened the roll length to 100' long.
Starter Kit includes:
- (2) 100 ft rolls of 48" ElectroFence® Plus electric netting
- (4) 48" FiberTuff™ support posts
- Premier PRS Pro 100 solar fence energizer
- (2) T Ground Rods, 18"
- Fence & Battery Digital Tester

Specs
Starter Kit includes:
- ElectroFence® Plus 11/48/12
- (2) 100 ft length, 48" tall electrifiable prefabricated fence. It arrives at your door as a complete roll with the double spike posts already built into the mesh/fence. Features 11 horizontals strands (10 electrified) with vertical struts placed every 12". “Plus” nets include additional line posts spaced every 6'8" to reduce sag.
- FiberTuff™ Posts
- (4) fiberglass-reinforced support posts for ends, corners and major directional changes. Use at ends to help maintain tension on the fence.
- Premier PRS Pro 100
- Solar powered 1.0 joule fence energizer. Will electrify 5-7 rolls of electric netting depending on soil conditions and vegetation. Includes two 12V 12Ah sealed lead acid batteries, wiring harness with alligator clips and 15 watt monocrystalline solar panel with overcharge regulator.
- T Ground Rod
- (2) Ground rods, which are an essential component of any electric fence, guide the pulse from the soil, back into the energizer. This 18" ground rod features a unique T handle, which makes it easier to grip when removing from soil.
- Fence & Battery Digital Tester
- For testing fence voltage and 12V battery voltage. At the end of the net, the voltage should measure at least 3,000V. Premier’s fence troubleshooting guide may help solve common problems.
Installation
Consult the linked products or watch the videos above for installation instructions.
Tips
An electric fence does NOT have to make a circle. You can overlap the fences or make a U-turn.
Visit this link for answers to other common fencing questions.
Precautions
Netting must be moved when tall grass covers the lower “hot” strands. The alternative? Apply a strip of herbicide to kill vegetation.
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause posts to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.
Warranty
3-year warranty for energizers and solar panels cover lightning damage and defective parts or workmanship. Should an energizer fail, we will replace the unit, bill you for the cost to do so, then reimburse you for warranted expenses after we have examined the failed unit. Misuse and flood damage are not covered.
30-day warranty for all batteries.

The electric 200 feet of electric netting is exactly what we needed to protect our sheep from coyotes. Great product!

I recently started a small scale, local goat grazing service (www.gotyourgoat.weebly.com); before the electric fence, I was using cattle panels and T posts to contain the goats, because that's what I already had on hand. It was NOT fun.
A friend had recommended Premier 1, emphasizing their products were the most effective. I was already mostly convinced to buy Premier, when I found out it was used exclusively by a large and well respected goat grazing service.
My husband and I compared the available electric fence kits, chose the set we thought would work best for our needs, and purchased an additional 100' with the kit.
It arrived on time, and though the boxes were damaged, the fence and accessories were unharmed.
Setting it up was fairly straightforward. My husband and I carried it to the grazing site (at a friend's barn, not a paid job while we were practicing using it), laid it out, and set each post.
Because it wasn't in a completed loop (friend wanted a horse arena fence cleared, so it was a long bracket holding the goats along a stretch of fence), we added an additional line along the top to create a complete loop.
The ground was extremely hard, so we ran into a little trouble getting the post spikes (double spikes) deep enough to remain upright, but most job sites are more likely to be softer ground.
All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and will continue adding lengths of fence as budget allows, and chargers as needed.
My only challenge at this point, is finding or creating an efficient way to store the fence when not in use, and carrying it out to get it set up at each job site.

Love this fence. Originally made an oops putting it up so it wouldn't electrify completely. After fixing our error it works great. So easy to put up, really only one person needed and quick install! Will be buying more.
