ElectroNet® 9/35/12 Electric Netting
Product Details

A prefabricated fence that has 9 horizontal strands (8 conductive), is 35" tall installed and has large white plastic vertical struts every 12". White PVC posts are built into the mesh every 12.5 ft.
The result, when properly energized, is a nearly impenetrable mesh to sheep, goats, coyotes and dogs. Also used to protect beehives from livestock and bears.
Contrasting white/black color provides 24/7 visibility to both humans and animals against all backgrounds. Its very low electrical resistance (38 ohms per 1000') is important for fences that are either long or will experience high weed contact.

Benefits
No extra gates needed. Just turn off the energizer and pull the first post to create an opening. For added convenience, an ElectroNet® Gate can be used to provide easy access without the need to turn the energizer off.
Available with positive/negative (Pos/Neg) capability for high resistance fencing conditions.
Common Uses

- Enclose rams and buck goats.
- Make small pastures for animals that need special attention (ewes/does/nannies with triplets; injured or stressed animals).
- Effective for beehive protection to keep out livestock and bears.
- Strip grazing pastures, orchards, vineyards and stockpiled forages.
- As an interim fence until a more permanent fence can be built.

* Pos/Neg (PN) fences are recommended where the soil is very dry and/or the animals do not ground well. Two clips are used at each end. One is hooked to the energizer, the second should be connected to a ground rod.
Quick Ground is a special use netting developed by Premier. Metal filaments in the bottom horizontal strand serve as the ground rod to complete the electrical circuit. It’s designed for those that move netting very frequently. There is a risk with this design; if vegetation touches both the bottom strand and the first positive strand (only 3" away) an electrical short is likely. We recommend using a larger (in output) energizer.
Installation
Tip: When using Pos/Neg fencing, a PowerLink (see Accessories tab) is recommended to attach the negative lead to the ground rod.
See PDFs and videos above for additional installation instructions.
Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

After picking up new breeders for my herd/flocks I saw these puppies in action and were told that 5 years was certain even if you kinda neglected them. So I decided to test out the idea of “ready in 20 min” fencing…and in an hour I had 4 acres fenced with only a few supports on corners or bends.
Pro tip from an Iowa webinar…if you want less sag, pay up for the PVC struts which are self supporting and allow for no movement when animals try to sneak a nibble on the greener grass on the other side.
Rolling up and laying out is simple and you get it down-pat in about 3 attempts. So don’t ever stress about T-posts…tensile strength…sag…or the complications of how many wires are necessary.
These all-in-one packaged fences are a delight and with our monster charger we could get well over 10K volts after connecting 10 fences together no problem. Just make sure to do the old farmer’s trick: Mow the path the fence goes so there is a 2 foot area of moved grass in front and behind the fence. That way there is no opportunity to push through to the other side, and animals who are lost can follow the fence and cleared path to get back to the flock or their waterer/housing.

This is my first year using the ElectroNet 9/35/12, 164' with double spike. I am an older smaller woman and these rolls are right on the edge of what I can handle with small hands and limited upper body strength, but by some trial and error I have figured it out. I strongly recommend watching Premier’s videos on setting them up. They have some good tips for getting it set up tight. It does a nice job of keeping the sheep in and allows me to do rotational grazing.

This fence works perfectly for my goats!

Overall the ElectroNet does its job. We use it to rotate our sheep around a pasture that has an electric perimeter fence. I like the ElectroNet because it is longer and easier to move than other netting, but that said it is a little flimsier than for example the Sheep QuickFence. We also use it in pretty tall pasture and it grounds out more easily, decreasing the voltage. My one concern with this would be issues with predators, but the sheep still respect the fence so I’m not worried about them getting out. For our sheep, I’d say I probably prefer the Sheep QuickFence instead, but this will do a decent job.
