A prefabricated fence that has 9 horizontal twines (8 conductive); is 35" tall installed, and has large white plastic vertical struts every 12". It's used to keep sheep, goats, guard dogs in while keeping out stray dogs and coyotes. Can be used for cattle and domestic hogs.

For fences that involve curves, corners and directional change, or when aesthetics are a concern, “Plus” nets include additional line posts to reduce sag. Line posts are spaced every 6'8" (vs. 12.5' for standard 35" ElectroNet).

Each roll is a complete fence with posts already built into the mesh/fence. One roll (100 ft) weighs only 13 lbs. You will need a fence energizer to electrify the net.

Benefits
Used to keep sheep, goats, guard dogs in while keeping out stray dogs and coyotes. Can be used for cattle and domestic hogs. Can also be used for beehive protection to keep out livestock and bears.

No extra gates needed. Just turn off the energizer and pull the first post to create an opening. For added convenience, an ElectroNet® Gate can be used to provide easy access without the need to turn the energizer off.

Installation
The same “unroll and then unfold” process applies to all electrified nets. Minimal strength or skill needed (and no tools). Extra supports such as FiberTuff™ step-in posts are useful at corners, curves and ends. You will need a fence energizer to electrify the net.

Precautions
Electric fence is a pain barrier, not a physical barrier. A common mistake is not electrifying it. Animals may escape or become entangled (and may die). On a % basis, entanglement is very rare, but it can and does occur. If animals are scared or starved it will not keep them in. The first time you put the animals in the net, you should be available to watch them for a while. That way if one were to get into the fence and get caught, you can turn the power off and get them loose.

Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.

Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.

Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

Troubleshooting
If the voltage drops below 3000V on the net, you need to turn off the energizer and unhook the net from the energizer. Test the energizer by itself. If the voltage is 5000V or higher on the energizer, the problem is in the net. The most common problem is that the lowest “hot” strand has been caught around one of the metal spikes on the posts and is shorting it out. The net must be at least 2" away from anything metal (metal posts, existing fences, spikes on support posts).

Warranty
With proper care, netting should last 5-7 years. Replacements will be prorated.

Electrified netting has been an essential tool on our farms since 1978. It is difficult to imagine life without it. That others share this view is proven by the demand for it from sheep and goat owners across North America. (We were the first to introduce it to the US and now supply 80% of all that's in use.)

We use the sheep electro net double spike everywhere, for the sheep, chickens, and hogs. I use the Premier Energizer for the field fence with the sheep and hogs and the Premier Solar Energizer for the chickens. I like the Sheep double spike for the chickens because I have found that the chicken net with its extra weight due to small spacing and the wider posts tends to sag and stay grounded out. If the chicken net had longer spikes it would be helpful. When using sheep net for hogs, it is an interior fence to keep them from rooting dirt up on the perimeter fence. I can move the net to keep it hot. The sheep net is the best I've found.

Excellent product with great tech support. Easy to install and use. My ONLY small complaint is that due to my small hand size I have a hard time holding all of the posts when putting up or taking down the fence (100 ft sections). If premier could come up with some device to hold the posts as you walked along and gathered up the fence it would be even better. Well worth the price though.

While I love that this fence does not sag, the shortened length is not helpful. I really need more length per section for grazing my goats.
