Not really much improvement on the older galvanized models though not cutting and dangerous which is in itself a pretty big improvement. Would be nice if feeders had some solid weight to them.

Works best for small flocks (under 12) but for large flocks it is too hard to fill with enough feed so more birds can go longer without food.

I have been searching for a good broiler chick feeder that minimizes waste. Since our feed doesn't flow well in tube feeders, I prefer trough feeders. I've been using them in the brooder with week old chicks and already notice less waste in the bedding. So far, so good!
