I absolutely love this crook! It was recommended by another producer and I would recommend it to anyone else who has sheep. Managing a flock by yourself has some challenges, but utilizing simple tools such as this crook will definately make the process easier and faster.
I rated the crook as a 4/5 due to the simple fact that I have hardly used it, and hang it inside my barn when not in use - yet the tab that releases the leg hook has broke, leaving a sharp edge that requires some repairs. It's an all around solid/sturdy crook, unsure whether it was just a faulty piece? Either way, I still think the product is worth the investment.

We operate a large, commercial flock of hair sheep and Club goats in West Central Tx. In our opinion there are two things that no producer can do without- one is a well trained dog and the other is this crook! Absolutely fantastic for grabbing that one ewe or doe, right out of the pasture, that needs some extra care or attention. We don't know how we ever got along without it. One thing we would like is for Premier to offer in longer lengths. 90% of the time the KiwiCrook is great but other times it's way too short.

This is absolutely a great product, it made lambing alot easier when need catch ewes it's great have option for foot and neck. I was a lil worried the foot catch wouldn't work but has caught and held onto every foot I've tried, the only problem I've found is sometimes it's to short to get ahold of some the flighter ewes otherwise I would give it five stars. Might be better if offered in different lengths, would recommend this to every goat and sheep farmer it's amazing.

This is a great tool to have! I can work my heard by my self with out having to get help! Wish I had bought it years ago.

This works very well. I have goats and sheep and it's easy to snag an animal at the foot trough. In a small area, this and a whip flag make it easier than a rope to catch an animal. A friend of mine has sheep and uses one of the wooden crooks and it works well but I prefer this one mostly because it has the added leg catch for when that is the easier method of snagging an animal.
