It is a nice, sturdy stand. The directions are nearly non existent but it's pretty simple to figure out. I also don't like the design of the feed pan. You can't remove it to clean it out and water collects in it.

This is a sturdy milk stand but I think that’s the only positive thing I have to say about it. I’ll have to cut down the legs a little for my NDs (I don’t want the ramp, it takes up too much space and it’s expensive). The head piece has a design flaw in that the 2 bolts given to attach it to the rest of the stand don’t allow the male and female pieces to join tightly together (hard to describe). This allows the headpiece to rattle quite a bit. I see a way to modify it by welding it so that the headpiece can be attached just like the welded nut and bolt they used to attach the headpiece mount to the actual stand, right below those non-functional bolts (unfortunately that’s not going to make a lot of sense really without a picture for reference, or without looking at the unit). The tray is also a design flaw, it’s not removable, so it’s not very functional—I’ll have to figure out a way to modify that as well (maybe find a removable liner for the tray, or I would prefer to just remove the tray and re-weld an attachment for a feed pan that can be removed for cleaning). Overall the stand is sturdy and looks nice but with all of the design flaws it’s a total miss, especially for the price. I’ll have to take it to a metal fab place and see what they can do to redesign it.
I also feel like it would be a little too narrow for standard goats.
Overall the stand is sturdy, and the headpiece has a nice black plastic/rubber handle on it (to be honest, that is the feature that made me purchase this stand over a different one, it looked to have more finished details—it does not, and you can get rubber handle grips online if it’s important to you). If I could return this stand I absolutely would, I’m really bummed I bought this. :/

I love this milking stand. It is very sturdy. It works well for my Nubian goats.
Karen D from Oregon
The stand was easy to assemble and seems to be sturdy. With very little encouragement 4 of our 5 nubian goats were jumping up on it. I have one big 250 lb wether and he is not sure about getting on it yet. We did not order the ramp but instead use a step for them. It is a little taller than I would prefer since I will be using it for hoof trimming, but I think we can shorten it by cutting a few inches off the legs. When the vet came to vaccinate the goats we were using an old home made stand and one of the goats went and got on the new stand. It would be nice if the food pan were removable for cleaning and a couple inches wider although my goats jump off between the side rail and the head piece.

We use this stand for many purposes: shearing the sheep, trimming the hooves, milking, and even grooming the dogs. I bet we will find more purposes for this stand in the future! It is well-made and handy to use, transport, and store. We like this product very much and would recommend to everyone if you can afford the price. It's expensive, but so far justifies its price.
