Product Details

A prefabricated, 48" tall electric fence to keep in chickens, ducks, geese and other poultry while keeping their ground-based predators out. Recommended for active birds that like to fly (e.g. Leghorns and Buttercups).

Key features:

  • PORTABLE — Arrives to your door as a complete roll with the line posts already built in. One roll (164 ft) weighs only 23 lbs.
  • QUICK TO INSTALL — Even for new users, it takes less than 15 minutes to go from out-of-the-box netting to installed fence. No tools needed!
  • CONTAIN & CONTROL — Designed for active, flighty breeds. The taller 48" net is more likely to discourage large predators such as coyotes and dogs.

Important! You will need a fence energizer (sold separately) to electrify the net.

We offer many fences to fit your situation, including complete kits, different heights and lengths, multiple colors, drivable posts and positive/negative options for dry soils. Visit this link to compare all PoultryNet options.

With its many horizontal and vertical lines, the 48" PoultryNet is more cumbersome to move than its 42" tall sibling, but it’s better suited for flightier chickens. Some users find that it sags too much between posts, so we also offer PoultryNet Plus, which includes additional posts. On uneven terrain, add SagStoppers to prevent the lower strands from touching the ground, helping to maintain adequate voltage.

We have sheep and blue heeler cattle dogs… not a great combination. Dogs love to chase everything. We have four sections of poultry fence together in a paddock and that has made their area safe and secure from all pedators, including the local dogs! It is easy to set up and move. The sheep have to be rotated every five days. The poultry fence has made that super easy… leave the center piece in place and move the other three sides using the last part where the sheep are “trapped” as the moving wall that walks them into their new area. Wish we had thought of this sooner!

I have 20 ducklings and the net holds them in most of the time. If the fence isn’t tight and straight they have gotten out. No complaints. I would definitely buy another one.
