Product Details

A prefabricated, 48" tall electric fence to keep in chickens, ducks, geese and other poultry while keeping their ground-based predators out. Recommended for active birds that like to fly (e.g. Leghorns and Buttercups).

Key features:

  • PORTABLE — Arrives to your door as a complete roll with the line posts already built in. One roll (164 ft) weighs only 23 lbs.
  • QUICK TO INSTALL — Even for new users, it takes less than 15 minutes to go from out-of-the-box netting to installed fence. No tools needed!
  • CONTAIN & CONTROL — Designed for active, flighty breeds. The taller 48" net is more likely to discourage large predators such as coyotes and dogs.

Important! You will need a fence energizer (sold separately) to electrify the net.

We offer many fences to fit your situation, including complete kits, different heights and lengths, multiple colors, drivable posts and positive/negative options for dry soils. Visit this link to compare all PoultryNet options.

With its many horizontal and vertical lines, the 48" PoultryNet is more cumbersome to move than its 42" tall sibling, but it’s better suited for flightier chickens. Some users find that it sags too much between posts, so we also offer PoultryNet Plus, which includes additional posts. On uneven terrain, add SagStoppers to prevent the lower strands from touching the ground, helping to maintain adequate voltage.

We love our new fencing, it has made our animal containment much easier to manage. I recommend it to everyone I know!

Easy to put up. We had problems with a fox. This fence has stopped all that. Easy to move and it works!

I love the movable fencing for my chickens. The grass has been neglected and I want to move the chickens and this fence is light, portable and easy to set up and change. I have the double spikes so I can step it into the ground which is mainly rock with some topsoil. The 4 inch spikes work just great.

Excellent product out of the box. Easy to unpack, easy to set up. Heavy clay soil here, very dry and hard, the posts went in with minimum effort. Fence looks neat and tidy after installation, reasonably ascetically pleasing, even in front of my home. The fence is currently used to surround bush honeysuckle and multi-flora rose such that my goat land clearing crew can eat it into submission. Plan is to move fence to similar areas and let the goats feast. Trained goats within a permanent fence area, setting up the portable fence within and placing goodies just inside. It work better than expected. Fence meets all expectations. No escapes!

We had purchased the sheep fencing and it worked great for us. It allowed us to rotate their grazing around the farm where we could not easily mow the hillside. When we bought some chickens, we purchased the poultry fence. We fence them in around our fruit trees and no more bugs! We had close to twice the peaches the next year! It is easy to work with and they have been effective in keeping out predators for us. We highly recommend them. The closer fence posts makes them easier to work with than other brands.
