Quick Clean Waterer (with legs), 3 gal
Used for watering poultry, including waterfowl. Waterer stands up and out of the bedding to reduce soiling.
- Has three legs to stand up and out of the bedding to reduce soiling of water tray. Legs elevate waterer 5".
- Simple design that's easy to clean and refill. To fill remove red lid and add water. Ideally refill with a hose because it's heavy to carry when filled to the top.
- Worked both indoors and outdoors.

I like that multiple birds can drink at once. It’s a much better design for cleaning than most other waterers. The only improvement I would suggest is a lid that screws on instead of just sitting on top. Every day or two I tilt the waterer to clean out any dirt/debris from the drinking tray. If it’s full at all, water flows out the top. Overall, very happy with my purchase and I’d recommend to others.

I have bought three of these waterers. Be prepared to never use this thing on anything other than a perfectly flat surface. We use these in our pasture and pretty much every day, they are empty from leaking due to the slight imperfections in the flatness that we place them. We try to wedge different things as shims under the feet, but these are just unbearable. Sometimes they have water in the tank and for whatever reason, the water does not come out of the valve mechanism. So the area for the chickens to drink will be bone dry. Currently looking for something more reliable given our need to actually use waterers in a pasture.

My favorite waterer. I wish the red didn’t gave in the sun tho. Been using this waterer for years

I do like this waterer. It is easy to use and has a good capacity. However, I have two issues with it.
First is that the lid has bleached out from UV exposure so that it is almost translucent. I expect that at some point the plastic will start to become brittle or crumble. I’m considering using duct tape on the underside to reinforce for now, and also to block light from encouraging algae growth.
The other issue is that on warm days, condensation collects on the underside of the lid and flows down to the rim. This causes the lid to actually seal itself to the waterer, which then forms a vacuum that prevents water from flowing into the tray. I’ve found the waterer with a completely dry tray and when I pry the lid loose, the reservoir is still near full. On removing the lid, water starts again to flow into the tray. I’ve taken to using a small twig or even a shed wing or tail feather under one edge to prevent this from happening.

Works great!
