Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

Works great! Keeps the racoons away.

Great product. Sweet corn has had zero loss to raccoons since we installed this netting.
Marilyn H from Kansas
It worked. Honestly I was surprised that when the raccoons had already found the corn patch and we put up the fence, that it stopped the damage. We were able to harvest the rest of the patch. Thank you.

I used this to set up a temporary fence around a patch of sweet corn that I rotate from plot to plot in different years. The raccoons, for the first time, found and were decimating my crop. The system worked well (the netting, the solar charger). It was easy to set up. I haven't taken it down yet. This is my first year to use it, so I cannot comment on durability.
I gave it a 4 rather than 5 stars for the following reasons. It is difficult to keep the netting tight from top to bottom. Despite being tight below, it is still a bit loose above, so there is a little sagging. Still, it repels the raccoons, even though it does not look perfectly tidy. Also, given some peculiarities of my plot, I had to use a pentagonal shape rather than rectangle. I needed an additional post, but had only ordered four. I made do with an old-fashioned plastic electric fence post from a local store. Overall, based on my first season of use, without experience with winter storage and reuse in subsequent seasons, I am happy with this netting. The raccoons are repelled, and we are enjoying the corn.

I have to admit I was skeptical. We carved out a home site in the center of 50 acres of woods. Gardening has been a challenge, to say the least. Every varmint in the county got the memo about the good eats. After installing the Racoon Fence (in about 15 minutes) my garden has been untouched. I only wish I could stay awake long enough to watch the little "buggers" get zapped.
