Benefits
- Inexpensive
- Hot-dip galvanized
- Quick and simple to carry and store
- Lightweight
- Ships via UPS
- Animals are restrained at a comfortable level for the user. Saves your back and body from stress or strain.
- Allows a free hand for new shearers to use shearing machines or hand shears.
- Fine tune your show animals appearance with a 4000c clipping machine and small clippers, or get the right shape with wool cards. Focus on fitting the animal and not holding them still.
- Having an elevated animal makes foot trimming much easier. Pinchers, knives and trimmers can be deftly used with lowered risk to animal or user.
Features:
- Folding carry handle on the stand and ramp prevents sheep from getting their legs caught.
- Stronger mounting points for the side rails (old style could easily be bent if stand was dropped on them).
- Side rails extend further into mounts to prevent them from coming out when leaned on.
- Better fit of headpiece in the stand (old style tended to be loose).
- Improved headpiece securing bolt (easier on the fingers than old style).

- Folding handle is convenient for carrying, storage, shipping and prevents sheep/goat legs being caught.
New! Optional Wheel Kit:
- Save your back and legs from carrying the stand. Wheel kit inserts into base of stand, allowing you to easily transport it around the farm or show.

I LOVE this stand. I just wish I had purchased it sooner. I raise Shetland sheep and shearing between 40 and 50 was a real challenge before this stand. The stand is very easy to set up, take down and move from place to place. It holds the sheep securely and the sheep are much more cooperative than before I got the stand. The chain does slip off the noses of some of my smaller or more crafty sheep, but I am able to fix the problem before the sheep thinks of leaving the stand. I have already recommended this stand to several friends.

Very heavy duty head piece, arrived quickly and in good shape. I like the design of the chain going over the nose. I might even need to invest in the side rails!
Lynn O from Western New York
We raise Shetland Sheep; going from shearing 8 to 50 having the right equipment for the job saves a tremendous amount of time. System was easy to set up and animals moved up the ramp without any trouble. We did need to shorten the tubing on the head bar as it was too tall for our smaller ewes and the chain does have a tendency to slide off smaller faced sheep. I am accustom to making modification for our smaller sheep and would recommend the stand to owners regardless of breed.

I orered the headpiece only and I was very impressed when it arived a day earlier than it was supposed to. However, when I opened the package I was a little disapointed to find that the chain wouldn't slide into the reciever. It was a simple fix (I had to pry the reciever open with a hammer) but it was a little agrivating to have to make further adjustments to an ordered purchase. Overall I think this is a great product that does exactly what I want it to do.

I own angora and pygora goats. I never used a stand before because the angora goats were easy to hold and work with. The pygora goats have no horns and I was having trouble working with them, so decided to try a stand. I don't have the room for a traditional one and chose the portable one. The height is great, it's sturdy and easy to store. It works great with both goats. I did purchase the side rails, but not the ramp. I would recommend the side rails since the goats tend to move towards one side and I wouldn't want them to step off.
