IntelliRope® is the main low-tension conductor used on our farms. It is far more visible than standard electric wire and easier to install (doesn’t try to “re-wind” itself). Last winter a deer became caught in the fence—as evidenced by the hair left behind—and broke the rope (a rare occurrence). We were able to mend the break by using a simple RopeLink. If you’re fencing specifically for horses use a 6mm gauge (IntelliRope®, EnduraSoft®, IntelliBraid®), or a tape conductors.

I have over 20 years of experience raising goats and have used many different types of fencing to try and keep the little rascals in their pasture. This is my favorite type of electric fencing for goats! I like the thickness of the rope, as it’s easy to work with and doesn’t tangle as easily as Intellitwine. I also like the higher visibility of the black and white strands for both animals and people. It conducts electricity well because of the multiple wires running through the rope. We use this for a fair number of more permanent fences, but it is ideal for temporary fences as well.

The only downside is that it does seem to stretch a bit overtime and get a bit looser when the weather gets colder, but that’s not something that affects the functionality of the fence and it’s easily fixed.

Great-quality fencing that has been a favorite of ours for goats and horses for quite a few years!

I’ve been using Premier IntelliRope and most of Premier’s fence-related products since the 90s. You just can’t find a more reliable company or better fencing products.

Nice conductor so far, using a 4-line system to contain goats in a modest rotational paddock setup. However, the spools are flimsy and the cardboard center falls apart, leaving the twine a tangled mess during assembly. Please consider making the center of the spool out of plastic instead of cardboard.

I've been buying fence materials from Premier 1 since the 90's. This rope is strong, long lasting, and easy to work with. I buy all my fencing insulators and other supplies from Premier 1. It makes for a uniform installation.
