A prefabricated fence that has 9 horizontal strands (8 conductive), is 35" tall installed and has large white plastic vertical struts every 12". White PVC posts are built into the mesh every 12.5 ft.

The result, when properly energized, is a nearly impenetrable mesh to sheep, goats, coyotes and dogs. Also used to protect beehives from livestock and bears.

Contrasting white/black color provides 24/7 visibility to both humans and animals against all backgrounds. Its very low electrical resistance (38 ohms per 1000') is important for fences that are either long or will experience high weed contact.

Benefits
Because it’s so easy to install and remove, many move ElectroNet weekly—fencing the flock or herd instead of an entire pasture. Even for new users, it takes less than 10 minutes to go from out-of-the-box netting to installed fence.

No extra gates needed. Just turn off the energizer and pull the first post to create an opening. For added convenience, an ElectroNet® Gate can be used to provide easy access without the need to turn the energizer off.

Available with positive/negative (Pos/Neg) capability for high resistance fencing conditions.

* Pos/Neg (PN) fences are recommended where the soil is very dry and/or the animals do not ground well. Two clips are used at each end. One is hooked to the energizer, the second should be connected to a ground rod.

Quick Ground is a special use netting developed by Premier. Metal filaments in the bottom horizontal strand serve as the ground rod to complete the electrical circuit. It’s designed for those that move netting very frequently. There is a risk with this design; if vegetation touches both the bottom strand and the first positive strand (only 3" away) an electrical short is likely. We recommend using a larger (in output) energizer.

Installation
The same “unroll and then unfold” process applies to all electrified nets. Minimal strength or skill needed (and no tools). Extra supports such as FiberTuff™ step-in posts are useful at corners, curves and ends. You will need a fence energizer to electrify the net.

Tip: When using Pos/Neg fencing, a PowerLink (see Accessories tab) is recommended to attach the negative lead to the ground rod.

Precautions
Electric fence is a pain barrier, not a physical barrier. A common mistake is not electrifying it. Animals may escape or become entangled (and may die). On a % basis, entanglement is very rare, but it can and does occur. If animals are scared or starved it will not keep them in. The first time you put the animals in the net, you should be available to watch them for a while. That way if one were to get into the fence and get caught, you can turn the power off and get them loose.

Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.

Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.

Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

Troubleshooting
If the voltage drops below 3000V on the net, you need to turn off the energizer and unhook the net from the energizer. Test the energizer by itself. If the voltage is 5000V or higher on the energizer, the problem is in the net. The most common problem is that the lowest “hot” strand has been caught around one of the metal spikes on the posts and is shorting it out. The net must be at least 2" away from anything metal (metal posts, existing fences, spikes on support posts).

Warranty
With proper care, netting should last 5-7 years. Replacements will be prorated.

Electrified netting has been an essential tool on our farms since 1978. It is difficult to imagine life without it. That others share this view is proven by the demand for it from sheep and goat owners across North America. (We were the first to introduce it to the US and supply most of the netting used in this country.)

I have purchased almost every variation of this fence for many, many years - some I like better than others, and having just moved to E.Tennessee from Upstate NY, I can say that your ground does make a difference!
Single spike NEVER worked on my NYS farm - but it works great here.
If you take the time to do this fence right, it WORKS, and works wonderfully....and the more you use it, the easier it is to set up correctly in a small amount of time.
I don't leave my imminently expecting does out in this fence because common sense tells me that a laboring doe is not thinking about how close to an electrified fence she is when she gives birth....I could see where that might be a problem with infant mortality.
That said, as I was considering letting the does with older kids out on to the rest of my forty acres - most with woven wire, but the rest with just three strand smooth electric, I observed a coyote sitting just outside the Premier fence....just watching. Obviously he had tried the fence because he was just sitting...watching (The things you see when you don't have a gun....).
I would recommend this fence to anyone, with any kind of vulnerable animal. Haven't lost a single one yet!

Excellent fencing. Several improvements from the same product I bought 10+ years ago. It includes a handy repair kit should you need it. It is slightly heavier. Only observation: connections could be improved for the joining of 3 fences. I use 8 of these fences and wouldn't hesitate to buy more.

I love this fence. I am using it around my home so that my rams can eat down areas that I have had to just mow the last few years. I purchased 2 rolls of 164 foot double spiked electro net with the solar charger. My rams got zapped once and now don't even come within a foot of the fence, as a matter of fact I even have a hard time getting them to walk through where the fence once was. The only draw back that I can see is that it does tend to sag, but you can purchase the plus fence, but the price difference wasn't something I could afford. I just purchased a few extra support posts to compensate. I am so glad that I finally purchased this.

I have lost sheep and lambs by entanglement and strangulation to this fence. I've written about it on my blog. For a while I thought that it was some sort of fluke or poor practice on my part, but just recently ran across yet another person who has also lost sheep and lambs to this fence.
The drawbacks to this fence is that it does poorly if your grass is taller than about 6", it does poorly with lambs as they don't respect it, get entangled, shocked and strangled, and does poorly with respect to coyotes who eventually figure out that if they panick the sheep that the sheep will knock it down and expose themselves. Or the coyotes just jump over it.
As a temporary fence with constant observation it's a pretty good system, but I would not leave sheep unattended inside this fence. It's such a shame to see a nice spring lamb dead for no good reason. I have never lost a lamb or sheep to a conventional or high tensile fence.

Since 1995 my flock of Finnsheep has relied upon Premier's Electronet 9/35/12 to keep them safe. Our remote hillside farm is adjacent to 5,000 acres of New York State forestland which has a wealth of both deer and coyotes. Predators have tried,but not breached the fenceline due to maintaining a strong electric charge which bites their noses. We graze ewes with lambs as young as two weeks of age successfully and will continue to place our confidence in this product.
