Awesome for new chicks, PLUS you can use in your chicken "hospital" or broody break crate. I have 2.

I love these for my chick brooders. I place them on top of the Heaters and the chicks love them and it keeps the water clean. They are also super easy to fill, and when it comes to my chicks I love LOW Maintenance. The only thing that would be amazing if it had a water catcher beneath the nipple, that way your bedding doesn't get wet right below the waterer. But I highly recommend these!

We have had such good success with these waterers. When you add the new cage clips there is no problem with knocked down bottle. We love the ability to hang the body of the waterer on the outside giving you access without removing. Water stays clean & healthy. They are our go to with new chicks!

Really love these!!!
We have had problems with the modified caps that you just attach to a soda bottle and had a malfunction that we luckily caught in time.
These are FAR superior. They are easy to fill, no taking apart or turning upside down. I bought the attachment to clip to a wire cage, which works great. And also just use them stacked on bricks, raising as needed. Occasionally, these would get knocked over when water level got low by older rambunctious chicks, but they are sturdy.
The water stays clean. You can easily see the water level and make sure it's going down. Very easy to teach them to use it. No dangers for the teeny-tinys falling in, and no constant cleaning.
I wish they would make even just a one size larger of this design for bigger chicks/larger hatches. I readily bought a bunch of them to cover the amount of chicks I had. So much easier than constant cleaning and refilling that goes with the traditional waterers and no malfunctions like I had with modified soda bottle caps!!!

Purchased two for our first batch of 15 chicks. We put them up on paving bricks, adding bricks as they grow, and they work perfectly! For the first few days, we put a plastic tray underneath with a paper towel since there was a bit of a mess while they learned to drink the drops (not just peck and splash). By day 3, there was no mess, their water stays clean and everybody is happy. We're moving up to a bucket watering system as they move out to the coop, but I'm sure we'll be using these again if we have broody/sick hens that need separated from the group. My only regret is that I didn't also purchase a bracket.....I didn't realize how many bricks I'd need to stack to keep up with them as they grew!
