How to Use
Tips
- Harnesses are more likely to stay on the brisket if it has 2 months’ wool growth.
- Adjust frequently. Rams and bucks lose weight during breeding season.
- If the forelegs begin to chafe, adjust harness or add padding/covering.
- Crayon fits on brisket, between the forelegs.
- The best practice is to put the harness on a few days before putting the ram in with the ewes. This allows time for the harness to settle in, and for adjustments.

After reading the reviews this appeared to be the harness I needed for my White Dorper rams and it was a perfect fit. Having never used a breeding harness I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to put on the ram and adjust it. Since this was my first time to use the harness I decided mark the fittings so that I recognized it's correct counterpart. Doing that simple little thing made it quick to attach the harness and fit it properly. There has been no chaffing or sore spots. This harness has taken the guess work out of which ewe has been covered. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

We've only been using this harness a week but it has stayed put and is doing its job. I out it on our new ram by myself and off he went. The hardest part of the whole process was putting the cotter pin through the marking crayon.

great product. fits wide range of sizes. holds crayon close to body so less likely to get caught in branches or other vegetation. will order another one

Great item for smaller rams.I purchased these harnesses for my two young rams. They were a bit small yet for the newer blue harness, which by the way is also a great product.

Works as it should. Easy to know who is bred and who isn't. Still good to leave ram in for two cycles. Watch your crayon, because it will absorb a lot of debris
