3-Season Poultry Waterer
Product Details
A top-fill waterer for the whole flock.
It’s an unheated version of our best-in-class Heated Poultry Waterer, but with drinking cups instead of horizontal nipples. Birds can drink deeply (rather than small sips) to stay hydrated on hot days and to dip and cool their wattles.
Key Features:
- 3 gallon capacity
- Translucent basin for at-a-glance water level checks
- Bowl drinkers automatically fill cups. Valve stops water flow once full.
- Secure, interlocking lid with handle for carrying and hanging
- Hinged quick-fill cap is just the right size for a garden hose. Refill without removing the lid!
Issues that have been reported to us:
- Overtightened bowls result in stripped threads
- Defective bowls may overfill
- Bowl attachment is too fragile; rough bumps and jostles from birds affect longevity

I have tried to make this waterer work, but it leaks terribly and leaves my young chicks without water. The design is very poor and there is no way to get the cups to snug up and quit leaking. I put Teflon tape on the threads and o-rings on the stem to try to get it to work. It must sit perfectly level on the ground, or it continues to run out until empty. If you do get the leaking to stop, the cups quit dispensing water. I took it all apart today and the stem is all gunked up and it just doesn’t work. Please don’t rely on this for your chicks!

I bought 4 of these in March 2024. It is now August 2024 and all but one is completely unusable. The cups leak a lot or alternatively their internal mechanism stops allowing any water from the bucket into the cups. I was a bit worried that when they shipped me these waterers, they sent probably 8 replacement cups (which I have now gone through and they too have started failing). Good concept but the cups themselves are terrible. This product needs to be recalled and Premier 1 really needs to stop selling it.

I love the idea of this waterer. It is great to refill and I like that I can see the waterline just by walking up to it. I like the cups and my girls really enjoy them also. However, the cups leak awfully, and I have to go out and refill the container often. I did not overtighten the screws but they just leaked. The rubber washer is too big and the screws will just click if you try to tighten it up a little bit to stop the leak. I switched out the cups with the extras that was sent, but they started leaking not long after putting them in. I also made sure the container was level, no luck there either.
I cannot recommend this product. I do like the idea, but until the issue with the leaks are fixed I would not buy again.

I have now had 2 cups leak. Nice to have extras, but hopefully won’t run out of them.

Leaks, don’t buy.
