Rubber Pans
Product Details
Low-profile rubber pans for feeding and watering livestock and general use around the farm.
We've used these as poultry feeders and waterers, show pen feeders, hog feeders, mineral feeders, and more. Made of heavy duty rubber, these pans stand up to years of abuse.
Prior to heated poultry waterers, this was a simple way to offer water to poultry in freezing weather. Simply turn over and knock the ice out with a hammer, then refill.

Got down to 1°F and the rubber tubs held up great. They stay flexible and are durable enough to allow some soft hammer blows to break up the ice.

Heavy smell but after rinsing a few times it dissipates. These rubber pans are very flexible and the handles makes them very easy to move.

I bought these 6.5 gal tubs because of the handles but after receiving them I am not sure I can use them. The overwhelming STRONG smell is alarming. There is no mention on this website stating where they are made. Another review said Made in China. The USA makes laws about what and how things should be made. Help your customers figure this out!
If the odor lingers, wiping down with a sponge and soapy water should neutralize any odor. Adding white vinegar, baking soda or anything with lemon, will also speed up the process.

Seems a decent product as far as heft goes, but the off-putting gas of chemicals was so overwhelming I am actually scared to let my animals drink water from this.

Pans have a very strong chemical smell; makes me wonder what else is in the rubber (made in China, which is not encouraging). I no longer remember if my old ones (at least 30 years old and I think made in USA) smelled like this when new. I’m keeping them because I can’t find a better alternative (used for horses and goats), but somewhat disappointed.
