Always choose eggs suitable for incubation. If possible, choose eggs that have not traveled by mail. Why? Because eggs that are closed inside packaging do not breathe and may have experienced excessive travel stress, vibration, and temperature changes.
Do not incubate eggs dirty with fecal material, as during incubation the temperature and humidity will lead to the establishment of bacterial flora. This can contaminate all the eggs, causing infections to the embryos and resulting in premature death during hatching.
Choose eggs of normal shape. They must not be elongated, spherical, undulated or with any other malformation.
The room’s relative humidity should be between 20%–80% when using the SIRIO Humidity Pump, or between 50%–75% without.
Borotto® incubators are designed for the simple incubation of most poultry eggs. Very large eggs will NOT fit in the turner. Temperature and humidity calibration is performed at the factory and is not user-adjustable. Please read the specifications of the incubator to make sure it will work for your situation.

I just received this incubator a week ago so it has not been through a full cycle of hatching eggs.
It was nicely packed. Nothing broken or out of place. Easy to set up.
Except the instructions were not super clear on snapping the egg turner trays onto the bar that goes to the motor for the turner. I checked the turner and it was not turning the eggs. So further investigation the egg tray does not just set on to that bar, it needs to be pushed into the slot on the bottom of the egg tray. It was only the first 3 days.
I will update further after hatch.

I bought this incubator in addition to the Real 49 that I have to be able to do small hatches but keeping the humidity up was a challenge. I didn’t have any issues with the Real 49 on lockdown like this incubator. Out of 53 eggs only 13 hatched since my humidity kept dropping and the pump flooded the incubator. Even after trying different things the incubator couldn’t kept the humidity up. Very well constructed but didn’t work for me. I’m sending it back and I’m going to keep using the Real 49.

3 days into my first hatch. Loving this product!

Very nice unit. Love it! Build quality is perfect. I like it so much I bought the other version that uses 12 volt DC... just in case we lose power and I need to continue using solar. The only thing I will need is parts which are not available to purchase shipped to US. So Premier needs to step it up and carry spare parts. So minus one star for that.
