** Sturdy plastic build, but watch the slat sizing! **
The product is made of a sturdy plastic, I was glad to see that it wasn't as flimsy as I had anticipated. So that is great, where I didn't give it a glowing review though, is the spacing holes claim states that the slat openings are 1.25" x 0.5") and I ordered sets of these based on that description. The average poop pellets I'm dealing with would need the full 0.5" width slat, however these slats are much closer to 3/8" and poop pellets do not effectively fall through them.
Secondary to this, and while frustrating, but tolerable, there were minor amounts of the slat holes that hadn't been properly cut all the way through. Might be a mold defect, as several of my panels had them in the exact same spot. But a bit of quality control check and an exacto knife could have corrected that prior to client orders being shipped out.
While not a deal breaker on the latter issue, the first one is a significant issue that should either be corrected in the mold/manufacturing or simply be advertised differently. Would I recommend this, yes, if it'll work for your average poop draining needs knowing the width is not accurate. It's excellent for urine and very fine pellets. I will still have a use for them on my homestead, just not in the same capacity. Frustrating, but still a great product for an average need I guess?

The slotted floor panels work really well, just wish the interlocking part was a little bigger to actually interlock. Also I had a nice surprise when I orderd 12 to complete 3 pens didnt realize these come as a 4 pack. Which is definitely a plus because now I can make so many more pens.
