How to Use
Tips
- Adjust frequently. Rams and bucks lose weight during breeding season.
- If the forelegs begin to chafe, adjust harness or add padding/covering.
- Crayon fits on brisket, between the forelegs.
- The best practice is to put the harness on a few days before putting the ram in with the ewes. This allows time for the harness to settle in, and for adjustments.

Works on Romanov ram lamb but had to make it as small as it would go. It seems to work but makes noise when he runs, scared the ewe lambs I put him in with, not sure there would be a solution to noise issues harness works as it’s suppose to.

Harness works well. Warm season crayon too.

I purchased this harness because it said it was for small breeds. The harness did not fit snuggly on our small breed ram. He weighs approximately 170 pounds. We put it on him in the evening, snugging it down as tight as we could, and by morning, it was swinging freely from side to side. The waxy crayon was also extremely soft and due to the loose harness and the soft wax, the entire back half of the ewes was covered in the red crayon. The overnight temperatures were in the mid to upper 30's so the soft wax, surely was not due to warm outside temperatures. Needless to say, we will not use the harness again and I will try to sell the two harnesses to someone with larger rams. We were very disappointed with the harness and the marking wax.

Made tough. Stays on great. Easy to adjust and take on and off ram.

Marker is too large for a 90 lb Katahdin lamb ram. Will not fit snug around the neck. We purchased the item based on description which indicated the harness fit small lamb rams.
