ElectroFence® Gates
48" ElectroFence Gates allow for quick access in or out of the paddock. Simply lift the handle, remove the post from the dock and go on through. For a shorter gate, look to 35" ElectroNet gates.
This a complete gate that can be added to the ends of existing nets (or between permanent fences) and electrified. Gate post locks in place via a handle and docking station. Stainless steel clips at each end of the gate provide electrical connections to netting. Gate's drivable posts can be used in hard soils.
Same mesh spacings as ElectroFence but with tighter verticals, 6" instead of 12".
Available as a 7.5 ft walk-through or a 21.5 ft for vehicles and whole flocks.

Benefits
Drivable posts—can be inserted into hard soils with a mallet or dead blow hammer.
Two more conductive strands than ElectroNet Gates—better for semi-permanent and perimeter fences, or for fences with high predator pressure.
Installation
If the gate is to be used in the middle of a fence line, and power needs to be carried across, simply use a PowerLink to carry the power over to the continuing section of fence.
Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric netting. We do not recommend the use of electric netting during harsh winter conditions—ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed.

I have had to step over, or drop a section of net fence to access my livestock and garden area for years. It is a hazard, particularly when one gets a foot tangled in a hot fence. I saw this gate. Hmm, rather expensive but considering how often I go through, worth it. I get the gate, look at the instructions, and discover one has to manually connect or disconnect the hot metal clips to open or close the gate. I feed power through that area to a much larger one and it is not a circle. I emailed to ask if they had a fix for that, just told me I could return it if I like. That would be shipping both ways, once already. They need some sort of spring loaded or connection that is insulated but connects when one places the closing post. I will keep this and think on how I will fix it. As it is, useless.
- Add a PowerLink™ between the end of the gate and the next section of fence. You will still need to (dis)connect a single alligator clip, but you won’t need to turn off the fence at the energizer.
- Bury or run a small section of insulated wire between the ends of the gate. This will allow you to maintain an “always-hot” fence, even when the gate is open.

I love the gate. It makes access to my goats so much easier.

Love the gate. So much easier entering pasture. Easy to set up. The hole spacing is larger than the electric netting so if you have young chicks it might not work. But it definitely solves the annoying problem of having to shut off fence every time you want to enter.

I am so happy I purchased this product. I would hate to have to undo the actual fencing every time I had to grab a goat out for milking. This makes it so easy. Plus, with the extra wide opening, I am comfortable taking the tractor through.

The gate is pricey but it works very well. I'm happy with it, easy to use, and will buy another one soon.
