These pin lock insulators are advertised as being difficult to install and they are right. You have to use a flat head screwdriver to pry the back sides of it around the post. I had sore hands at the end of the job. Don't install these if you are in a hurry. They do seem to grip the t-post a little tighter though.

I ordered the wrong insulators by mistake. I do not like these at all. First of all, they do not fit all t-posts. They only fit the old, heavy kind. Second - they are very difficult to install. I had to use a screwdriver to pry the ends around the edges of the t-post. It should not be that difficult to work with. Definitely do not recommend.

Works well on old heavy t-posts. Using with electric rope with cattle. I like having the rope secure. Have not used them before so not sure about longevity but for the price, I can deal with any issues.

Used on metal T-posts to hold 14ga electric wire fence to keep cattle, deer and a wild bull elk (yes.. a fun pasture visitor last summer) out of a NRCS pollinator habitat plot Summer 2016. It's April 2017.. about 1 year.. and they still look GOOD.

These worked well for me. Used on heavy metal t-posts. They were very easy to install and work with. I used a competitor"s brand because I ran out, but ordered some more of these and replaced them. Much easier to use.
