Compared to metal feeders we’ve used in the past, we like the heavy-duty metal construction, quality galvanization and clever adjustment method. Use free standing or by hanging using built-in handle.
Use for feeding the flock, from broilers to layers. Waterfowl friendly too!

Benefits

- Feed Saver Grill reduces wasted feed. Available for the 11, 22 and 44 lb capacity feeders.
- Anti-Soil Trough Guard protects feed in the trough. Affectionately called the “crap-flap” by Premier’s staff. Fits 22 lb feeder.
- Rain Hat protects both the hopper and feeding trough from the elements. Available for the 22 lb feeder.
How to Use
To adjust feed output, release one locking clip toward the trough and lower hopper to the desired height. Repeat for each clip. Reverse to raise.

Precautions
We DO NOT recommend the use of the Feed Saver Grill with roosters or hens that have large combs. The comb could rub on the plastic and become injured.
To reduce the risk of entrapment, breeds with voracious appetites such as Cornish Cross should NOT use the Feed Saver Grill.

Bought with the rain guard, feet and trough guard. It’s a great set up. Easy to assemble. Well made and I like how much it holds
Only two things that aren’t perfect.
One is that with the rain guard you can’t install the handle on top so it’s a little more awkward to try to carry around.
Also if you had smaller breeds or young poultry it’s too deep to get at the feed with the trough guard and feet. But this isn’t that big of deal for me and I could see just putting a could have bricks around it for them to prop up on. For my use I do like that the feed is down lower in the trough as it helps prevent spills even if moving it around

It requires minor assembly but it's not difficult. I really like the way it keeps the food up off the ground and with the feed grill I think it wastes less food. The only thing I don't like about it is that when I swirl it to shake out more food to the pan before I fill it, the cone moves so it defeats the purpose, but that is a minor inconvenience.

Beyond impressed! Ordered the 22lb feeder with legs and feed saver ring. The quality and thickness of the metal on the feeder and plastic on the legs and ring exceeded my expectations! I put the feeder together in just a few minutes with no issues. With the legs on, it's the perfect height for my chickens. The feed saver works perfectly! No more feed being tossed on the coop floor.
