I am up grading my first review where I gave this product three stars. While I can't catch 5 month old kids with the leg crook, I have found it very handy for catching older full grown goats. I can catch them from the front or the back. Very useful as I can feed the goats, then walk around behind them and use the leg crook to snag the one I need to look at while they are eating. It has been very useful for catching goats that I have penned up to allow customers to choose a goat. I don't have to run nearly as much. The leg crook is awesome.

I was very hopeful the Kiwi crook would work well for catching my 5 month old goats. The leg crook is too big and they walk right out of it. I have Kiko and Kiko crosses. I guess they are finer boned that some other goat breeds so the leg crook wasn't any help for them. I did manage to catch a couple yesterday with the neck crook or at least slow them down enough so I could grab them. I am hoping that the leg crook might work on my adult does. Of course this is the first time I have ever used a neck crook or a leg crook. I must say it is better than the net we were using in some ways because you don't have to untangle the goat from the net. Or worry about pulling an ear tag out with the net. I will keep trying the crook though.
