I really, really wanted to like these reels. A lightweight reel for shorter runs that's inexpensive - but the execution is poor on the design. Winding the intelli-twine onto these reels (We ordered 10) was a painful experience as they're not ergonomic to hold in your hand. The set screw to lock the reel looks like its going to get lost and render the reel useless, and if it weren't for the task of taking the 600' of twine off each reel, I'd return these. I am really not being overly harsh, I've seen nicer kite winding spools than this.

We love these reels and can't seem to have enough. I have had some for years and have never had one break, which is surprising because we are pretty rough with them.

Its a handy little thing at times, but not durable enough for me. The screw stop broke after the third or fourth use. This is one of the lowest priced mini reels on the market, and you get what you...

I really like this smaller reel. We have only had it a month, so time will tell how it will last. It is hard plastic, so cold weather may be a problem. It fits on my hand, with a thumb and a finger going into the holes in the black plastic. It holds a 660' spool of twine and I like having several small reels to connect between permanent fences to make paddocks. You set up a new one, open the middle, close it after the critters pass through, and then take down the back one. We use the harp clips. They are way better than metal ones or big plastic ones.

This reel is great. Holds close to 600' of the thinner polywire for subdividing pastures. It works exactly like described. For short runs and temporary grazing it is very handy and light weight.
