We are using this harness this fall on our Katahdin Hair Sheep Rams. It is doing a great job, strong, does a good job on marking the ewes. We are very pleased with both the harness and the marking blocks.

This is a great and economical harness to mark ewes with, as I have it on a medium size suffolk ram. The only small downfall is unless you have a helper to hold the animal it can be somewhat hard to put on the first time, unless your ram is very tame!! but it only takes a few minutes to put on and away he goes ready for action!!
I am very happy with this harness. I bought it for my 2.5 year old Nigerian Dwarf goat buck. I was not sure if it would be too large for him, but on the tightest setting it fits perfectly. I did have to cut some excess strap off becasue my dwarf buck is so much shorter than the rams this is intended for. I should have singed where I cut the straps to prevent it from unrevalling. It's so nice to go to the barn in the morning and see which does have crayon marks and also very helpful to see who doesn't. So this harness works great for dwarf goat bucks too. It remains on the buck and has never fallen off. He doesn't seem to mind it either.

I just recommended this harness to a friend and I'm about to order another for me, too. I wouldn't consider putting a buck out for breeding season without him wearing one. Each year we turn out 4 to 6 bucks in different pastures. I have some old harnesses that have held up flawlessly. The last two I have purchased have had some trouble. The rivets that hold the crayon holder to the nylon came out on one and one side of the crayon holder broke off on the other. Most likely the damage was caused from the buck scratching. It could have been lice that caused the scratching so I'm going to treat for that when I put the harness on and retreat as recommended when I change craygons. Still, bucks in rut scratch. I'm going to rate them 5 for the previous experience and see how the new one holds up.

This harness fits very well, it's easy to adjust and stays in place. The ewes think the ram looks sexy in it too! It is definitely worth the $16. This is also MUCH cheaper than other harnesses that I priced when I purchased it.
