PermaNet® 10/48/6 Electric Netting
Use PermaNet for sites that have installation problems for permanent wire fences (hills, rocks, curves, trees, no machine access). It keeps sheep and goats in and predators out. Can stop a wide range of animals.
How does it compare to our temporary nets (ElectroNet® and ElectroStop®, etc?)
- Designed to be left in one place for months or years. For this it has stronger, heavier, larger PVC posts with longer, thicker, steel spikes, supporting the net better through wind, rain, ice and snow.
- It's taller, 48"—therefore more reliable.
- It's a very good conductor (low electrical resistance). This is critical as weed contact may become heavy.
- Supplied in many lengths—to enable users to buy the right length for each situation.
Available with positive/negative (Pos/Neg) capability for high resistance fencing conditions.

Tip: When using Pos/Neg fencing, a PowerLink (see Accessories above) is recommended to attach the negative lead to the ground rod.
We suggest installing PermaNet with two people. Why? Because of its extra weight and longer posts. It can be handled, installed and removed by one person, but having another person on each end of the posts doubles the productivity and makes it easier for both.
Pushing or stepping posts into the soil is still a one-person task. And so is pulling the posts out of the soil. But these tasks take more effort because the spikes are both larger and longer. (After all, it doesn’t work to have a strong, well-supported post without large and long spikes.)
Note: Weeds must be controlled for PermaNet to remain effective. Either move and mow as needed during the growing season, or spray herbicide (see photos above) along the bottom strand of the net. If you can’t do this, PermaNet may not be the right net for you.
See PDFs and videos above for additional installation instructions.
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

Love the PermaNet!! Keeps our kids and lambs in very well. Only problem is the chickens can get thru the netting and eat their food.
I love my double spike permanet. We are going on 3 years with it for goats and sheep. The best length I like for ease in moving is the 100' although I have 150' and can move it fine (I'm not that big) The 50' makes a nice "patch in" section to slightly alter a layout. One warning if you have lots of wild rabbits...leave it on when your animals are not in the net so the rabbits won't chew it! I had some damage to the lower strands..easy to patch, but a bother.
We where looking for fence that could move easly with our sheep. the fence was so simple to set up my 6 and 9 year old boys could set the fence while I put up the charger all done in less than an hour. It also has proven to be a great for keeping our small lock safe from coyotes at night. looking forward to buying more.
Excellent product. It is heavy duty, yet mobile. It withstood a direct hit from snow sliding off of the roof of the barn. All I had to do was dig it out and it continued to work just fine.
I purchased 300ft of PermaNet last spring. We use it to temporarily fence in different areas of our property to let the goats graze them down. It has worked wonderfully! Once the goats learned to respect the fence (usually about 3 zaps) they now give it about a 2ft berth. Really young kids can make it through the 6in spacing, but quickly grow too big to fit.
It is sturdy and well made.I chose the double spike and like the "step" that makes it easy to push it into the ground with my foot.
I bought the IntelliShock 20B which gives the fence a good zap. It has a long charge time, even with 300 ft to charge. We mow the fence line before putting it up in each area, and move it every 2 to 3 weeks throughout the summer, so there isn't much weed drain. As is stated in the product description, it does take 2 of us to move this fence, at 150ft it gets heavy and unwieldy for one person.
We used it for breeding season too. One 150ft section was used to create a second fence between the does and bucks, worked great, there was no pushing on fences at all. The other section was used to create a paddock for breeding a friend's doe with out mixing her in with more than just my buck. We bought a second wiring harness and used 2 positive wires to be able to charge both sections off the same charger.
This is a very functional product that I recommend wholeheartedly.
