I just start using this kind of clip. So far, I like them better than pre-drilled holes in posts.

I guess my arthritis plays a part, but I found these clips extremely hard to slip on to the 3/8 inch posts.

Great design improvement! The previous clips purchased locally have an over and under setup that over time tends to bend slightly and make it difficult to thread the wire. This solves the problem and hold the wire just fine.

We use many of these clips on hundreds of 3/8" fiberglass posts. Over time some need to be replaced, since they can bend out of shape but they stay put on the posts much better then the plastic insulators. Came from steel 3/8 posts and will never go back after using fiberglass. Twine or wire will never have a dead short if it comes off the insulator. Posts are easy to put in, don’t bend out of shape, and the clips make height adjustments very easy. Just make sure you wear leather gloves when handling fiberglass, since you can get slivers that often times you can’t see to pull out, and they hurt. Highly recommended.

I use around 500 of these from April to October-November every year. I use 3/8 Fiberglass posts and these clips to rotate pastures for both cattle & sheep. I have had zero issues with them. I have not had any bend or fail and they are very easy to use. I highly recommend them.
