These are far better than the harp clip or the screw on black insulators. They hold the twine better and don’t move up and down the post like others. Just make sure you use a drive cap when putting your posts in or these are hard to put on the post. Definitely recommended.

These clips make using the 3/8" rods so fast and versatile. I use them with polywire and 12.5 gauge high tensile wire.
Andrew A from Oregon
The clip works well on the 3/8" pole. The small string/wire I use tends to slide up past the end of the clip if your poles lean in at a 90 degree corner. Fix: Put the clips and wire on the inside of poles at 90 degree corners!

Latest batch seem a little tight. I could not get them on older 3/8" posts without a major battle. I was using two per post and ended up using a drive cap on top of them but that only got one down the length of the drive cap. I will have to use different insulators on my older posts. I am able to get hot rope in them, but it takes two hands on the one side. Instead of using gloves, cloth tape on thumb and finger works well when installing a lot of clips. Premier needs to stock something similar for 1/2" and 11/16" posts.

I have some of these Premier clips, and also some very similar clips from a competitor. They are good for different applications. These Premier clips are easy to squeeze and adjust, will slide up/down a post if you put too much tension on them (like with a high-tensile metal wire), and are sized for wire and are not large enough to hold rope. The other brand clips will hold rope and are stronger (will hold tension), but they are difficult to adjust — I have to use pliers sometimes. Overall these are great clips depending on what you want to do.
