  • Permanent rare-earth magnet motor enable more torque (power) and require less space and weight than ordinary motors. Less heat is produced by the permanent magnet motor and the fan forces air forward through our heads—so the heads run 20°F cooler.
  • Up to 20% shorter in length than other motors

Tips

Preparing the Animal for Clipping

  • Remove the dirt from the hair first. If this is not done, expect accelerated blade wear and a reduction in animals clipped between blade sharpenings in exact proportion to the amount of dirt present. The benefits of dirt removal prior to clipping cannot be over-emphasized. Example: Those who wash their lambs prior to clipping often clip 20–30 club lambs between sharpenings (if the blades have been sharpened properly on a lapping machine). Those who don’t and have lambs with sand and soil in the wool often clip less than two lambs between sharpenings.
  • Washing the animal with soap and water removes the most dirt. If this is not practical, use a high power vacuum or blower to remove as much dirt as possible from the hair or wool.
  • Restrain the animal. Few animals like the sound of a clipper or the feel of vibration on their skin. When they react to either without warning, accidents can and will happen. Therefore, for the sake of you, your animal and your clipper, restrain the animal properly prior to clipping.

Precautions
We are no longer converting machines to 220V.

Failure to oil as often as recommended may lead to excess heat and premature wear and tear.

Warning: Unlike some other clipper motors, this motor will neither slow down nor sound different when oil is needed. But failure to oil will quickly cause damage to the blades and drive head. So you MUST apply oil by time instead of sound. Apply a small amount of oil every 3 minutes to the tips of the teeth and each side of the blade by dipping them into a dish of oil or pouring oil directly onto the teeth with a small oil container and every 10 minutes drip oil into the small hole behind the tension knob assembly. Excessive wear can occur if not oiled properly!

Warning: Risk of electrical shock—Connect only to a branch circuit protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI). Contact a qualified electrician if you cannot verify that the circuit is protected by a GFCI.

Warranty
Covers all labor and parts for 3 years from the date of purchase. 2 years longer than any competing unit! Abuse (e.g. dropping it) and neglect (e.g. failure to oil frequently enough) are not covered.

Premier 4000c Clipping Machine

My horse trainer had these clippers and we did the clipping of horses together. I moved away and now have to clip my own horse. I had two choices. I could buy one clip job by someone else. The second choice, I could buy these clippers. I chose to buy these absolutely amazing clippers. These clippers could probably mow your lawn in the shortest amount of time you could imagine. The clippers leave your horse clean and sleek, minus all the crazy lines that alot of clippers leave. I was worried about the torque that you need to screw the blades on. I watched the video and was at ease with my performance to make my clippers run correctly. I oiled the specific points as suggested at the instructed time intervals. I never thought the clippers were overheating. The hair just came off so easy and in so little time. They are easy to clean and maintain well worth the money. I do recommend you get ear plugs if you will be doing the clipping, they are loud but given the performance of the clipping speed it's worth buying two sponge ear plugs. I will probably clip my horse a couple of times this season. I will have then saved money by buying these clippers. Quite a few people have commented on the lack of mower lines my horse has. I did scrub my horse prior to the clipping. This is very important to have the results that I had from these clippers. I highly recommend these clippers to all the equine people out there.

So far we have been really pleased with these clippers. They do a nice job and are really easy to use with no danger of cutting the lambs skin. They are light weight and the blades are very easy tot put on and take off. They cut nice and short with the fine blade and leave a nice smooth finish with no blade makers on the lamb. They are very easy for kids to use too I am hoping they last a long time!

Good clippers. They are louder and longer than the set of Wahl clippers we have. The length makes them harder to use on smaller sheep and goats. However, the motor runs cool and due to the smaller diameter they are easier for my daughter to hold.
