Quick Clean Waterer (with legs), 3 gal
- Capacity: 3 gallon
- Size: 13"H, 15" pan diameter and 1.5" pan depth
- Suited for: adults
- Number of birds: 35
- Waterfowl: yes
- Has three legs to stand up and out of the bedding to reduce coiling of water tray. Legs elevate waterer 5".
- Simple design that's easy to clean and refill. To fill remove red lid and add water. Ideally refill with a hose because it's heavy to carry when filled to the top.
- Worked both indoors and outdoors.
How to Use
We suggest periodically dismantling and cleaning the unit to prevent hard water and algae build up from obstructing the float system.
For proper function place waterer on a level surface. If used outside, the lid may blow off in strong winds.

This waterer is not my favorite. I like the legs that elevate it out of the bedding or off the ground. However if you put it outside, the lid will blow off, also the sun will fade it. Consequently, my lid is broken and streaked with yellow. Also, it has to be totally level or it will empty itself in a short amount of time.

Easy clean up, less debris in water, easy to carry and fill; the only downside is that it probably will freeze up in winter, and I'm very leery about using our metal water heater stand with plastic. The 4 rating is only because I can't use it year-round.

easy to fill & keep clean. would be nice to have a snap-on lid.

I really like this waterer. It is so easy to clean, fill, and carry. The legs are a nice touch. My chickens still manage to get clog up the waterer with litter when I have it inside their coop, though.
I gave this four instead of five stars because the lid blows off easily. This won't be a problem if you always keep the waterer inside, but if you live on the windy plains like I do and you bring it outdoors, you'll need to find a way to keep the lid on. It would be nice if the lid clipped on to the waterer. Since the lid is rounded, it's not like you can just stick a rock on top of it to hold it down. I might have to try bungee cords.

This waterer is very easy to fill and to clean! I've had too many of the old style where you have to twist of the bottom to fill and this is much easier to use. Unfortunately mine did not come with the legs or I would be giving it 5 stars as well.
