I'm in dire need of this, my current nipples torn away and I have orphaned lambs to fee and this is the Northeast where it's still frigid and these guys are 2 months old. Back order on a most crucial item? Come on! That's pure negligence. So I have a bucket with no nipples and I'm holding together my old bucket and old nipples with a makeshift arrangement to prevent leaking. NOT GOOD.

These nipple work great on the bucket units and also fit on plastic bottles for hand feeding. We use these instead of the Pritchard teats for supplementing. Lambs learn to use it as well as any other and they last a season or longer at our place.

Work great! The lambs take readily to them, no issues with leakage or stoppages. You do have to pull the ends open as the 'X' doesn't get cut 100% on all of them.
As for the fellow that had a problem, it sounds like he used them without the teat unit. No way they will work by just sticking the nipple in a hole in a bucket, they have to be used with the teat unit.
It helps to have a little food grade silicone or soapy water when assembling everything.
