Product Details
An innovative way to insulated, terminate and tension conductors. Easy to use.
Conductor is inserted into inner spindle and tightened to the desired point. Will hook easily to a P Spring. Works for twine, narrow tape, rope, MaxiShock and braid.

Installation
- Hook ring end into a P Spring.
- Insert conductor through other end and through hole on center bolt.
- Hold tail of the conductor to secure it and twist black knob on the side.
- Once the tail of conductor is secured, let go and continue twisting knob until desired tension is reached. P Spring should be half compressed.
- To loosen or remove conductor from the tensioner: unscrew the knob on the side to release.

I use the rope tensioner/insulator to keep my IntelliRope 6.0 tight at 2" and 5" above the ground around my garden, positioned a couple of inches out from the 1/2" hardware mesh for chipmunk exclusion, preventing them from climbing the mesh. Since installing it, no chipmunks have entered the garden. IntelliRope tends to loosen over time and can sag enough to touch the ground, so periodic tightening is necessary.
I run the strand 2" above the ground from the left side of my gate around the perimeter to the right side of the gate, then upward to 5" and back to the left side. I use two tensioners on the left side of the gate to take up slack. When the rope begins to sag, I walk the perimeter from the right side of the gate, pull the rope tight section by section, and finish by tightening it at the tensioners.
The tensioners work reliably, hold the rope securely, and make it easy to remove slack.

Handy to use at the end of your rope. They hold up pretty good. Many of mine are over 4 years old, but after the initial installation you seldom have to play with it.

I've had the same troubles as others with the plastic nut breaking. Often the first time I use them. I still order them because they're handy but it would be nice to not have to ziptie them together every time you adjust them.
