Sheep QuikFence® 6/35/24
A prefabricated fence that has 6 conductive, horizontal strands, is 35" tall installed and has a vertical string every 24". White PVC posts are built into the mesh every 12.5".
The result, when properly energized, is a nearly impenetrable mesh to sheep, goats, coyotes and dogs.
Contrasting white/black color provides 24/7 visibility to both humans and animals against all backgrounds. Its very low electrical resistance (37 ohms per 1000') is important for fences that are either long or will experience high weed contact.
- To graze orchards and vineyards.
- To subdivide pastures for a whole season in lieu of moving netting.
- To protect outdoor hay supplies.
- To graze stockpiled forage on hayfields/pastures in late fall and early winter.
- As an interim permanent fence until a proper fence can be built.
- 6 electrified horizontals
- Horizontals are white and black
- Horizontal spacings from bottom strand to top strand are: 4", 4", 4", 8", 8"
- Lowest strand is energized and suspended 7" above the ground (instead of neutral and resting on the soil). This reduces the need to spray weeds—and weeds that do contact it are less able to drain away electricity (because it is further to the soil).
- Verticals are strings spaced 24" apart
- Posts are .75" PVC with two metal spikes that go into the ground.
- Post spikes are 7" long and .31" in diameter
- Posts are spaced every 12.5'
- 35" tall
- 100' length
- 37 Ohms of electric resistance per 1000'
- Pos/Neg fences—are for dry, sandy or rocky conditions. Ideal for situations when there is too little moisture in the soil to properly ground the fence.
- #206000 - $1.00 per ft (100' roll with double spike posts).
- #206100 - $1.20 per ft (Pos/Neg 100' roll with double spike posts).
We use FiberRods or FiberTuff posts (see Accessories tab above) at the corners for extra support.
Remember…netting must always be properly electrified!
It is best to have animals trained to electric fencing before you turn them out in the net only. The first time you put the animals in the net, you should be available to watch them for a while. That way if one were to get into the fence and get caught, you can turn the power off and get them loose.
Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. Warning! Do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting due to risk of fire. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier's website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing.
Dry or frozen ground many cause the NetPost spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed.

I love all of the electro net I have purchased from Premier! I'm still using 3 roll that are 13 years old, when I bought them they advertised them as having a 3-5 year lifespan! The only problems I have had with them were all "operator error". Thanks for a great product!

I bought 3 sections 100ft each of QuickFence to keep my sheep eating around the house. The first day the sheep were introduced to the fence it was total disaster. When shocked rather than jumping backwards they would jump forward taking the fence with them every time. I was really disappointed with my investment. I thought I wasted my money purchasing it. But I did not give up. The fence was tough enough to take all that punishment so I figure there was some hope. for my investment. I figured that over time they would learn to respect the fence. Hence I didn't give up. More exposure was necessary. To make a long story short by the third day my sheep had learned to stay clear off the fence. I am still not totally comfortable letting the sheep graze alone when I am not around the house since I live near a busy highway but comfortable enough to let them when nearby where I can check on them from time to time. Now I am free to do chores in the yard and the house. I am even thinking of buying two more sections. The animals need time to learn to respect the fence. I recommend this fence with the above limitations.

I've had 4 rolls of the semi-permanent sheep fence with double spikes for quite a few years now. I've recently ordered 4 of this QuikFence and am amazed at the strength of the posts over my older rolls, as well as the strength of the spike metal. I also really appreciate the wire being off the ground as I don't have to be as particular about mowing thick areas before setting the fence in. It doesn't keep my border collie from going under, but is perfect for keeping the sheep in. My property is boundary fenced so I would have no issue of intruder dogs from the surrounding properties. Over-all really love the Quik-Fence, easy to set up and take down by myself.
My only issue with this netting is the height. It will hold the sheep, but is no good for containing dogs. This is not a problem if there is a good perimeter fence, but I wanted to use this on a field without one. I would love to see something like this but higher - the 42 inch electostop netting seems to work for my dogs.

The easiest of all the electrified netting to handle and install for sheep. It is quick! I like the long spikes that make the fence very secure in the ground.
