Sheep QuikFence® 6/35/24
A prefabricated fence that has 6 conductive, horizontal strands, is 35" tall installed and has a vertical string every 24". White PVC posts are built into the mesh every 12.5".
The result, when properly energized, is a nearly impenetrable mesh to sheep, goats, coyotes and dogs.
Its very low electrical resistance (37 ohms per 1000') is important for fences that are either long or will experience high weed contact.
Lowest strand is energized and suspended 7" above the ground (instead of neutral and resting on the soil). This reduces the need to spray weeds—and weeds that do contact it are less able to drain away electricity (because it is further to the soil).
Common Uses
- To graze orchards and vineyards.
- To subdivide pastures for a whole season in lieu of moving netting.
- To protect outdoor hay supplies.
- To graze stockpiled forage on hayfields/pastures in late fall and early winter.
- As an interim permanent fence until a proper fence can be built.
For fences that will be moved often, consider ElectroNet® or ElectroStop® instead.
Available with positive/negative (Pos/Neg) capability for high resistance fencing conditions.

* Pos/Neg (PN) fences are recommended where the soil is very dry and/or the animals do not ground well. Two clips are used at each end. One is hooked to the energizer, the second should be connected to a ground rod.
Installation
Tip: When using Pos/Neg fencing, a PowerLink (see Accessories above) is recommended to attach the negative lead to the ground rod.
See PDFs and videos above for additional installation instructions.
Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

I've had 4 rolls of the semi-permanent sheep fence with double spikes for quite a few years now. I've recently ordered 4 of this QuikFence and am amazed at the strength of the posts over my older rolls, as well as the strength of the spike metal. I also really appreciate the wire being off the ground as I don't have to be as particular about mowing thick areas before setting the fence in. It doesn't keep my border collie from going under, but is perfect for keeping the sheep in. My property is boundary fenced so I would have no issue of intruder dogs from the surrounding properties. Over-all really love the Quik-Fence, easy to set up and take down by myself.

My only issue with this netting is the height. It will hold the sheep, but is no good for containing dogs. This is not a problem if there is a good perimeter fence, but I wanted to use this on a field without one. I would love to see something like this but higher - the 42 inch electostop netting seems to work for my dogs.
Jeneen W from Kentucky
The easiest of all the electrified netting to handle and install for sheep. It is quick! I like the long spikes that make the fence very secure in the ground.

I love this fence. We have our first flock of sheep on a south-facing bluff side currently overrun with brush, weeds and erosion gullies. Needless to say, we can't yet build the permanent woven wire/ht electric perimeter fence that's recommended for sheep. This fence keeps the sheep in but allows them to graze close to the bottom wire, goes up, down and around curves like a champ and doesn't have the entaglement risk of tighter netting. It's easier to tangle when you're laying out the bundle because of the fewer vertical stays (this is probably why they recommend not moving it during the season), but I am using it as portable fencing, by myself, as a complete novice. I did come back to order more, though, so I don't have to move ALL the fence EVERY time. Great product.

This fence is just the ticket for enclosing some very rough land that I am trying to reclaim. Since the wires are higher up it is easier to use on uneven ground with a lot of brush growing up. I found it similar in ease of handling to regular electronet, and much easier to place the posts because of being able to step on the double spikes. Plus it doesn't sag like permanet.
