I have loved everything from Premier 1 EXCEPT this waterer. The lid doesn’t have a latch so I couldn’t keep the lid closed. I finally duct-taped it, but that only lasts so long. The most aggravating thing is the plunger gets stuck and leaks all 8 gallons out with in 24 hours. I have to carry water from my house and was filling it daily which defeats the purpose of getting a large drinker. Don’t waste your money.

Got as a gift for $82 and it broke within 1 month. I really feel they should refund anyone who bought this. I normally love everything I get from Premier 1 but someone should have realized how cheap this plastic was. No wonder the price is half off now. It’s still not worth buying. Don’t do it!

Very disappointed in this product. We purchased both the feeder and the waterer.
The waterer buckled when trying to rinse and fell over and cracked all the way down. The plastic is very thin. The feeder is made of the same material and allows moisture into feed. Neither lids would stay on, so any wind removes them and the hinges are very week and cheap.
This high dollar purchase was a gamble and we lost big time. The waterer is heading to garbage in less than a week, and as soon as the meat birds are processed the feeder will be too (we currently use it to keep some scratch in it, but scoop the scratch out). These may work inside a henhouse or well covered run, but he very thin plastic material is not durable in the slightest. The cost is ridiculous for the product. In hindsight I wouldn’t pay a dollar for either as they are not a bit useful and only require more work trying to get some type of use out of them.
Sorry to be so harsh; if it hadn’t been such an expensive purchase I may have stayed quiet and just make it a “lesson learned” moment. I just want others to be aware of the issues.

Probably a great waterer for chickens but I have to agree with the previous review that said this does not work well for ducks. The water is not deep enough and it is impossible to clean the reservoir with the tank being far too heavy to move even when half full. And similar to many of the reviews ours does not latch well.

Bought this product because it said for poultry and included geese. The bottom trough suggested that it could be deeper and the picture looked like it could allow them to get their names cleaned out. Not so. While yes, they can drink from it, it doesn’t stay “deep”. This needs to specify for chickens only. Not an option. For ducks/goose needs.
Also, I question how long it would actually last in Arizona. If it worked for my needs, it might be worth it, but really was a waste of money for me.
