A prefabricated, portable electric fence that has 12 horizontal strands (11 conductive), is 48" tall installed and has string verticals every 3". Built-in line posts are spaced every 10'.
Keeps in chickens, ducks, geese and other poultry while keeping their ground-based predators out. Recommended for active, flighty birds. The taller 48" net is more likely to discourage large predators such as coyotes and dogs.
Arrives to your door as a preassembled fence. One roll (164 ft) weighs only 24 lbs. You will need a fence energizer to electrify the net.

Benefits
No extra gates needed. Just turn off the energizer and pull the first post to create an opening. For added convenience, a PoultryNet® Gate can be used to provide easy access without the need to turn the energizer off.

Precautions
Electric fence is a pain barrier, not a physical barrier. A common mistake is not electrifying it. Animals may escape or become entangled (and may die). On a % basis, entanglement is very rare, but it can and does occur. If animals are scared or starved it will not keep them in. The first time you put the animals in the net, you should be available to watch them for a while. That way if one were to get into the fence and get caught, you can turn the power off and get them loose.
Netting must be moved when tall grass covers the lower “hot” strands. The alternative? Apply a strip of herbicide to kill vegetation.
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.
Troubleshooting
With PoultryNet, the bottom hot wire can slip off of the plastic portion of the end posts onto the metal spikes. This will cause a dead short and no energy will be on the fence. Unhook the energizer and slide the hot wire back onto the post. Reconnect the energizer to the net and test.

Believe the hype. This fencing is a godsend. It was recommended on YouTube vlogs I watch (Justin Rhodes & ART and BRI to be precise) and I'm so glad I trusted their judgement, and so are my chickens.
In addition to this I have the 100 ft, green, double spike PermaNet. It's my favorite but it's definitely much heavier and harder to handle than this netting (164 ft, single spike). I haven't had much of a sag problem but my land is really quite level. I've had mine in the same place for about 3 months now and I've only had to shore it up once and that was due to extreme winds and took only about 5 minutes.

These are excellent resources for ranging poultry when used with a fencer. We have experienced very few losses since using these fences [PoultryNet® 12/48/3 (164' x 48" white/black roll), double spike].
The only drawback is they come in 17 segments which makes creating a rectangle of ANY kind impossible. Why not 16 or 18 segments? Also, the quality varies from fence to fence. On some fences the plastic balls on the top strand don't hold the fence strands well but with other fences of identical model we have not experienced any problems.

Extremely fast shipping - and free! Online and phone support was great -- very responsive.
Now for the actual product. After weasel and fox attacks had us so on edge we were jumping up every time we heard a squawk, we invested in peace of mind. The double spikes are awesome for setup. Wish we had gotten the corner posts, but some guy lines with nylon string and tent stakes at corners worked great to correct the sagging. Initial setup includes a bit of trial and error, but it wasn't bad. We did not order the gate, so for now, we just step over the net after it is unclipped from the leads (the flexible posts just bend). That is much easier than untying the post strings. We bought a 1-joule charger so we can add on in the future.
The chickens learn very quickly! Our farm dog (who is too young to be out patrolling on his own) got zapped and he is now terrified to go near it, so I can imagine what a fox would think. Absolutely NO attacks, mystery chicken screams or worry since installing the fence!
Other benefits: No chicken poo all over the barn and driveway; no pecking tomatoes in the garden or insulation on the house; no rooster chasing kids; no scratching up flowers or the yard. We also enclose their coop and leave a small run door open so they're free to run out at the crack of dawn, and we don't have to worry if they've made it back in the coop to close up if we have to leave before dark. And, we still have the option of opening the fence to to "pasture" them freely when we're working outside all day.
Several birds have flown right over the netting, so they got their flight feathers clipped.
This setup is easy to move around for new pasture. They just need a place to lay their eggs. It would be fantastic for meat birds.
For those new to the product, it's not clear that the grounding rod does NOT come with the set! So be sure you either get the entire kit to start with or get the grounding rod, clips, lead wire and charger ordered/purchased from somewhere at the same time. And be sure to get the corner posts.

Based on initial experience it's working well. I'm actually using it sort of backwards, as a temporary fence to keep my dogs IN the backyard, and then future will build a permanent yard fence, and use the poultry net for chickens. But it's proven to work. One of the dogs tried to test it, and got what he deserved. He only tried that once!
As far as setup, I found the spike on the bottom to be very solid. My soil was so hard I had to drive the spike in with a hammer (hit top of the spike, not the post). I strung it out through big weeds and over uneven ground. It is a bit cumbersome, but that's to be expected. Tested all the way around with voltmeter and it's all checking out to have full current through the whole fence.
So far I'm very happy with it, and based on this experience already plan to order more as needed in the future.
