Hatching Tips
Always choose eggs suitable for incubation. If possible, choose eggs that have not traveled by mail. Why? Because eggs that are closed inside packaging do not breathe and may have experienced excessive travel stress, vibration, and temperature changes.
Do not incubate eggs dirty with fecal material, as during incubation the temperature and humidity will lead to the establishment of bacterial flora. This can contaminate all the eggs, causing infections to the embryos and resulting in premature death during hatching.
Choose eggs of normal shape. They must not be elongated, spherical, undulated or with any other malformation.
Precautions
The room’s relative humidity should be between 20%–80% when using the SIRIO Humidity Pump, or between 50%–75% without.
Borotto® incubators are designed for the simple incubation of most poultry eggs. Very large eggs will NOT fit in the turner. Temperature and humidity calibration is performed at the factory and is not user-adjustable. Please read the specifications of the incubator to make sure it will work for your situation.
Warranty
Use of this incubator with a portable electric generator may result in power surges or irregular voltage, which can damage internal components. Any damage resulting from such use is expressly excluded from this warranty.

3 days into my first hatch. Loving this product!
Shawn D from New Hampshire
Very nice unit. Love it! Build quality is perfect. I like it so much I bought the other version that uses 12 volt DC... just in case we lose power and I need to continue using solar. The only thing I will need is parts which are not available to purchase shipped to US. So Premier needs to step it up and carry spare parts. So minus one star for that.
Wendell S from Florida
After poor quail hatch rates with other incubators I decided to buy the Borotto. It is a very high quality incubator, with heavy duty electrical cords for the heating and egg turner. The same egg turner can be used for different size eggs. I verified the heat setting with a separate thermometer/hydrometer and found it to be exact. I have 96 quail eggs incubating now.

I’ve got my first batch of 24 Coturnix eggs in, lockdown is the 28th should have chicks by Halloween. Durable unit, nice design. Stable temp and the humidity control is working well.
Sara W from Tennessee
I love that the egg tray can hold different sizes of eggs. The first time I used this incubator I used shipped quail eggs and got about 50 percent hatch rate, (the humidity pump caused some flooding in the tray or I think my hatch rate would have been higher). The second time I used the incubator was with chicken eggs from my own chickens. I did NOT use the humidity pump which flooded my last batch of eggs, and it was much less stressful without the pump! I hatched 18 out of 20 chicken eggs and was very pleased with the results. The two eggs that did not hatch had fully formed chicks inside that for whatever reason just didn't make it. I had some trouble keeping the humidity up (had to throw in wet paper towels/wet sponges, ect) but I'd still prefer that than flooding.
For best results, the room temperature should be between 68°F–77°F. The room’s relative humidity should be between 20%–80% when using the SIRIO Humidity Pump, or between 50%–75% without.
