I ordered 4 of these to lure my hens away from the laying box that is occupied by a broody hen. They look and feel so real that I marked on end with a pen. When I was making breakfast yesterday, I noticed the mark on an egg that I was about to crack open. Great product!

The eggs came just in time.
Two days after they arrived the girls started laying. The eggs look so real it's hard to tell the ceramic ones from the real ones.
Great product.

Very effective for teaching new hens ansd placating broody hens. Increased egg production by 50%. Put one in every nest, worked like a charm!

Firstly I recommend spray painting the eggs with a clear gloss sealer for better texture. THey work like a charm in teaching new hens. However, I just found another added benefit with older hens. If I notice that the hens are overusing or bunching up in a particular nest, I place ceramic eggs in the new additional nest box. Like a charm many of the hens will "follow the eggs". They are great!

The girls like these eggs. I bought five eggs for four boxes. One box has no eggs & no one has used that box. Two boxes have two eggs and the remaining box has one ceramic egg. The boxes with two eggs seem to be the favorite boxes.
