This reel does NOT have a strap to put over your shoulders.
How to Use
- Insert conductor through guard at the front of the reel.
- Loop conductor in a figure 8 pattern between the parallel metal wires that run across the spool (this promotes metal to metal contact between the reel and the conductor).
- Place the spool (of conductor) in a bucket or similar container.
- Begin winding until desired amount of conductor is on the reel.
- Tuck loose conductor into spooled conductor (on reel) to hold in place.
- Jump power to/from the reel via connecting a Powerlink to the metal loop on the handle side of the reel.

Good and bad. Had it for 1 year.
The good is that it has a plastic hook and a metal hook at the end so if you want it charged at the hook end, use the metal hook. Otherwise use the plastic hook. I like that flexibility when creating paddocks.
The bad is that red plastic thing that keeps the string neat when reeling it back in. It’s really flimsy compared to other brands and pops off if you drop the reel on the ground. Once it pops off it’s hard to figure out how to get it back on right angle, which way, etc. So this year I tossed it. Seems to work fine without it.

Loving my Speedrite reel, makes mob grazing and removing temporary fences super easy. No fuss, heavy duty product that I can depend on day after day on the farm!

First delivered reel had inside gears catching and not smooth operation — Premier sent a new one and it works fine. But it's rather difficult to hold onto and reel-up over long distances. I'm still trying to figure out how to use and make useable for gates.

The reel is great. I wish they had come with instructions. I put the polyrope on backwards, now I have to take it all off and start over.

Durable and a trustworthy reel. Only concerns are the red strip that goes out front. It makes reeling the wire back up quite difficult so I just remove it. Also, since it only has 1 hook it pulls on the fence wire compared to those who have multiple hooks to even out the weight.
