Wooden Nest Egg
Attractive nest egg that discourages egg eating (hens are unable to break this egg). Won't break when dropped like ceramic eggs.
When to use nest eggs?
- To persuade hens to lay eggs in a nesting box (and not elsewhere).
- To discourage egg-eating by hens, a bad habit that can spread rapidly and is hard to stop.

It's a wooden egg. Size, color, and weight are close enough to the real thing that our three-year old has trouble telling them apart from Dominique eggs when she does the gathering.

Very sturdy and about the same weight as a real egg. These encouraged my hens to lay in new nest boxes. My hens like always having another egg to lay theirs with. I would reccomend trying the ceramic eggs from Premier as well.
