Wooden Nest Egg
Attractive nest egg that discourages egg eating (hens are unable to break this egg). Won't break when dropped like ceramic eggs.
When to use nest eggs?
- To persuade hens to lay eggs in a nesting box (and not elsewhere).
- To discourage egg-eating by hens, a bad habit that can spread rapidly and is hard to stop.

The wooden eggs were just what we needed. The quality of the eggs were perfection. Taught our HENS just what the nest was for, and because the wooden eggs were 'peck' proofed, no issues with them trying to figure out what their first eggs were all about.

Works great for training young egg layers where to lay and helps to break any chicken of any bad egg eating habits! Highly recommend, don't waste your time with the ceramic kind that are so fragile and always break!

Just what I wanted. And YES they work. I ordered 4 of these Wooden Eggs and I put them in my hens laying box where I preferred them to lay their eggs, and they are laying their eggs right there. AWESOME! I LOVE IT.

The shell is too hard and yolk not runny enough.

Great quality wooden eggs at a reasonable price. The hens are using the nests very well now that these eggs are there, but the wood grain and feel makes it obvious to us that these are fake, so we don't gather them in the basket. The weight of this product is just right. I highly recommend them.
