Is accurate and works well up to about 30 - 40 pounds. Anything above that the metal hanger pulls right out of the top of the plastic case. I managed to put it back together and used contact cement to seal the top of the plastic case and it exploded again. The issue is with the design of the top of the plastic case. I would recommend purchasing a more robust scale.

They are fine as long as you don't weigh anything over about 40#. They say up to 120 but the first one exploded with a 90# lamb. They sent us a new one and it exploded with a 60# lamb!! CHEAP Chinese junk, I've seen .50 cent calculators built tougher!

Thought would be a great scale to have to weigh lambs at birth and 60+ days. Have been using an old mechanical scale. Should be a nice upgrade. Deciding how to hang at top and best hook at the bottom. Great price and I think it will work.

It didn't seem like the tare function works. The lambs are so wiggly that I had to estimate and like someone else said the sling isn't real secure on the hook. I haven't used a scale before so I don't have anything to compare it with.

Scale itself is accurate. Easy to change batteries which is nice. Need to hang it with a wide strap for it to hang level and have less wiggle when weighing. The hook could be bigger to hang the sling on. I got the kid/lamb sling and I worry about the kids wiggling the sling off the hook while I waiting for the weight to register. Says it weighs up to 120lbs which is why I got it, but I honestly cannot imagine even trying to weigh something that weight on this! My 2 week old kids are only 15 lbs and they wiggle off of it already!
