Works well. Appreciate the small size and appears to be very accurate. Nice for small lambs that need to be weighed in ounces.

The scale is accurate but it must be held in your hand. It cannot be hung from a hook because of the way the handle is formed. The very first time I used it the battery compartment cover and one of the two batteries fell off and onto the straw covered floor of the pen. I found the cover but the one battery is still missing. If you decide to buy one plan on putting a piece of tape over the battery cover.

This is a good scale, but know that it is not water proof.
We lamb on pasture so we have to be prepared for all kinds of weather. Unfortunately, a downpour came in and filled the work bucket I have all my lambing equipment in, and scale got soaked.
I would advise those that buy this to wrap it in a zip-lock bag and seal it with some duck tape, or the very least have a zip-lock bag to put it in after use if working in the elements.

This is handy to use. I will say that if you chose it with the small animal sling that the hook is not big enough for the straps of the sling to become secure and it will slip out easily. If it has a hook big enough to hook in the straps that would improve it a great deal or the sling have tapered handles so they would fit in the hook provided. Someone goofed up on this.

Scale works great. Small, portable, and easy to read display. We even took it to another farm to weigh some goats before be bought them.
