MaxiShock™ “Flex” Double Insulated Cable
Product Details
Improved for 2025! Now with even greater flexibility, MaxiShock Double Insulated Cable delivers superior conductivity for above-ground fence connections.
- Double-coated protection — If the outer insulation layer is damaged, the inner layer continues to provide protection—reducing maintenance and extending the cable’s usable life.
- Heavy-duty zinc coating — Each internal strand is galvanized (Class IV) for long-lasting rust resistance.
- Flexible by design — MaxiShock is highly pliable and stays in place once twisted. It wraps easily (by hand!) around most electric fence conductors and P-springs for secure, high-voltage connections. Remove, reposition, and reuse without compromising performance.
Instructions/Diagrams:
Benefits
- Connecting hot wires to each other
- Linking energizers to fences or ground rods
- Attaching gate activators to fences
- Cut-out switches and lightning diverters
- Bridging flood gaps
MaxiShock Double Insulated Cable can also be used for below-ground connections such as gates or crossings. For added protection, we recommend placing it inside a conduit (such as a 3/4" water pipe) to protect it from wear and tear.
Specs
- 6mm outer diameter (insulation); 1.7mm inner diameter (MaxiShock conductor)
- Low-tensile; 160 lb breaking strength
- Class IV galvanized zinc coating for protection from rust
- 10 years of probable life*
* Probable life is not a warranty by Premier. Why not? Because we know that longevity is highly dependent upon, but not limited to, quality of installation, insulator(s) used, rope tension, animal/wind/snow/ice/vegetation pressure and UV exposure (altitude and climate).
Installation
- Cut the soft wire cable with side-cutting pliers or heavy duty scissors
- Strip off 3" of insulation
- Wrap or twist wire around connection point until secured

I needed 2000' + of electric fence supplies. Brenda was helpful every step of the way. I sent her images of my property and she dialed in every detail to ensure we can keep 5 goats on our property. I spoke to her on the telephone multiple times and found her very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and especially customer oriented. Brenda is the best!

Great cable, very easy to work with. Seems like it will last a long time.

Previously used (house type) electrical wires underground and found in a short time that the insulation broke down. This (double insulated, single strand) product held up very well. It’s been in the ground for 3 yrs.

This cable is great and affordable. Yes, it’s a little difficult to strip, but perfect for running power under a gate, etc. Just better quality then what you can purchase locally.
