How to Use
- Insert rope or twine through the slot formed in the reel. Tie off with a knot to prevent it from pulling through. If using a thick (6mm+) or tape conductor, use a piece of packing tape to hold the conductor to the spool.
- Slowly wind the reel by hand.
- After several passes increase winding speed until the desired amount of conductor is on the reel.
- Tuck in the loose end of the conductor.
- Engage brake on side to prevent rotation of the reel.
- Use a T Post Bracket, Wood Post Bracket or a SupaReel 3-Reel Post.
- Slide notch in handle of the SupaReel onto the bracket or post.

I bought a couple of these reels and also the larger models a few years ago. I am incredibly disappointed with all of them. These units are not balanced well and the wire has a tendency to pop off the side and tangle up. Every product I've ever purchased from Premier has been fantastic except for their reels. Buy everything else from Premier but buy your reels elsewhere.

I have mixed feelings about these fencing reels. I have been using for a couple years now. They are all still in working condition, like brand new which is great considering they have been out in the elements this whole time. With that comes some bad design features that get frustrating like the knob and how it attaches to the reel. It is also pretty heavy. If you don’t have any kind of strength you are going to have a hard time reeling a couple of these up every couple days.
Brings me to my next point. I have thicker line on 2 of them and it has to be wound up just right (and tight) or it will end up becoming a tangled mess. And when that mess does happen it can get out of control fast with the way the brake sticks out.
I have got used to using them over the years and I have some crazy shoulder strength because of it. They will last you though and that is a big pro.

I am disappointed that I bought this.
I saw Justin Rhodes use this brand on YouTube, so I thought it was a good idea.
This is my first attempt at rotational grazing and I am very excited to start.
Now knowing a bit more about reels, I would advise against this one because of the pain it was to attach the handle for turning the wheel on pre-wound reels. (I even paid more for that feature because I thought it best since it’s my first attempt at this.)
I have bad arthritis so the re-winding of the spool was killer.
I learned now you have to buy the geared ones that reel 3 rotations per 1.
I hope this helps others.

Very nice heavy duty reel. Excellent buy for the money.

The reels with the brake is exactly what we needed.
